MINI-BACCARAT
Easy to learn, easy to play, traditionally the grandest of all casino games. Baccarat, pronounced bah-ka-rah, is played in casinos throughout the world. MotorCity Casino Hotel offers two versions of Baccarat. Midi-Baccarat, played on the large table can accommodate up to nine players and one dealer. The smaller table, referred to as Mini-Baccarat, can accommodate up to seven players and one dealer. The object of Midi- and Mini-Baccarat is to bet on which hand will have the higher value. Bets may also be made as to whether a tie will occur. The highest hand in Midi- and Mini-Baccarat is a nine and the lowest hand is a zero (0). Kings, Queens, Jacks and Tens always have zero (0) value, an ace always counts as one, and all the other cards count as their face value. The player simply bets on one of the three possible outcomes. Those participating in the game may place a wager on the Banker, Player, or the Tie. If a particular hand ends in a Tie, there is no action on the Banker or Player hand. All tie bets are paid 9 for 1. The Banker and Player are each dealt two cards. The total of the two cards determines whether a third card is to be drawn for either hand. In Midi- and Mini-Baccarat, the hand closest to nine wins. All winning bets on the Player side are paid even money. All winning hands on the Banker side are paid even money and assessed a five percent commission. The shoe holds eight decks of cards. The rules of Midi- and Mini-Baccarat are predetermined and are listed on the following page.
BASIC RULES TO REMEMBER:
1. If the Banker and/or Player hand has a total of eight or nine (known as a Natural) on the first two cards, no further cards are drawn.
2. Player hand having zero to five must draw one card. Player hand having six or seven must stand.
3. Banker hand stands or draws one card as directed by the chart.
